Our objective is economic empowerment of the citizens of Prince George’s County. 
SCEDA participates as a major stakeholder in all relevant forums and decision making
bodies responsible for shaping economic development issues such as the master plan,
zoning, transportation, public safety, education, and legislation. 

We support development projects such as the National Harbor (http://www.nationalharbor.com/) , the Woodrow Wilson Bridge construction (http://www.wilsonbridge.com) , and the Indian Head
Highway Expansion Project.  Through our representatives on the Board of Directors of
the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation (http://www.pgcedc.com), the National Harbor Local and Minority Business Enterprise Oversight Committee, and the Prince Georges Chamber of Commerce (http://www.pgcoc.org), SCEDA monitors contracting and employment practices in the county and presses for increased access to opportunities for qualified minority and local businesses.
